Walking for a good cause

MCI & Dorier Switzerland participated in the first edition of the Corporate Walk of Hope for Terre des Hommes, the Swiss NGO for child relief.

​​​​​​​The goal was to walk or run as much as possible from 17 October to 20 November 2021, to reach at least 6,000 kms and make a donation to Terre des Hommes.

MCI / Dorier Suisse smashed their goal and reached 8,684 kms all together! This means that CHF 3,000 were donated to the NGO. This donation contributed to programmes defending rights to education and protection of the most vulnerable children, who are severely affected by the current crisis. 

Terre des Hommes Suisse reports that children’s rights have been at great risk since the beginning of the pandemic. The most vulnerable children are suffering the full force of the pandemic with unprecedented violations of their rights to education or protection against violence and exploitation. It is more urgent than ever to act to avoid school dropouts, early marriages or child labour exploitation.
